If You Have Asthma, Don’t Blame It On Your Lungs… Find And Eliminate Your Asthma Triggers!

COMPREHENSIVE  MANAGEMENT  CONTROLS  ASTHMA

Every asthmatic patient that has been treated at our center has had a reduction in wheezing and a reduction in the number and frequency of their asthma medications.  Many are off their asthma medications altogether.

HOW DO WE ACHIEVE  SUCH  EXCELLENT  SUCCESS  RATES?

We hunt for and identify the causes for asthma rather than merely give another dose of an  asthma medication.  Research has shown that asthmatic patients on full medications can continue to develop lung disease even though they are not wheezing.  We believe this is because these asthma sufferers are still exposed to their asthma triggers which continue to cause lung damage even though they are taking their medications.

AND THERE ARE ALWAYS TRIGGERS!

Molds, foods, pollens, dust, tobacco, cockroaches, and common everyday chemicals like cleaning products, perfume, air fresheners, nail polish, gas stoves, etc., can trigger an asthma attack.  Just giving another asthma medication is not the answer! Often asthma triggers go unsuspected, and before you know it, wheezing develops or recurs without knowing why.  That’s where the expertise of an Environmental Physician is critical in identifying and treating the underlying problem.

IT TAKES REAL INVESTIGATIVE WORK

Identifying your triggers for asthma is a top priority.  Asthma rates are at a critical high in the United States, especially in urban areas, despite the best asthma medications.  Even maximal asthma medication isn’t sufficient if the asthma attack is very serious.  What does work is identifying and then eliminating or desensitizing the patient against the underlying triggers or allergies.  Doing this can dramatically decrease the number of asthma attacks…and even prevent asthma from developing.

After we find the triggers, we guide each patient in how to eliminate the triggers.  If total elimination is not possible, we are often able to provide allergy treatments to desensitize the patient to the food, chemical and inhalant allergens that trigger wheezing and shortness of breath for that patient.

CHEMICAL EXPOSURES CAN KEEP ASTHMA GOING

Everyday chemical exposures are often a large part of the problem for asthmatic patients.  We evaluate every asthmatic patient for sensitivity to chemical exposures.  We instruct each patient how to substitute less problematic products for those that trigger their shortness of breath.

THE  PROBLEM WITH CHEMCALS

Over 80,000 chemicals are commercially produced in the United States and most were invented since World War II.  Many of these chemicals serve as airway irritants, triggering asthma and other forms of lung disease.  Once these chemicals are breathed, they can continue to circulate in the body or can become stored in the body available for ongoing exposures.  Ridding yourself of these chemicals can result in a reduction in your asthma attacks.

CLEARING CHEMICALS FROM THE BODY

We utilize a detoxification protocol to clear chemicals from your body.  We have observed that this reduction in your total body burden of chemicals can improve your breathing and allergies as well.  A combination of heat chamber treatments and nutrient supplementation work well together to reduce the amount of chemicals stored in your body.
